John Hall
U.S. Army Colonel (Ret) Announces Candidacy for Michigan Senate

A soldier, teacher, and dedicated neighbor -- I’m running to represent the 26th District with a focus on service above self. Together, let’s build a Michigan that works for every family.

A Life of Service

For forty years, I’ve dedicated my life to helping others as a Soldier, teacher, and coach. I’m running for State Senate to bring that same focus on service to Lansing. Together, we can build a stronger Michigan for every family.

Michigan Raised

I was blessed to grow up on a family farm, tending the livestock, tilling the fields, and mending fences.  Farm work builds character.

Always Helping Others Succeed

I’m about real solutions, not politics—applying precision and patience to the issues that matter most.

In the classroom, I saw that every child deserves a fair shot. I'll fight for our schools and our kids.

Always Working for Positive Results

What We’ll Tackle Together

Fixing the big stuff starts with listening to you. I’m focused on practical, people-first solutions that make life better for every Michigan family.

Lowering Cost of Living

We will tackle rising prices head-on, focusing on policies that reduce daily expenses for Michigan families and ensure everyone can flourish.

Affordable Quality Health Care

I’ll work for health care that families can rely on. We will seek solutions that don’t break the family budget and prioritize patient needs.

Strengthening Family Farms

Our agriculture heritage is the backbone of Michigan. We'll support family-owned farms to stay strong, sustainable, and profitable.

Supporting Small Businesses

By cutting red tape and burdensome regulations, we'll create an environment where local small businesses can innovate and grow.

Property Tax Relief for Seniors

We owe our seniors security. I'll work for real property tax relief so our seniors can afford to keep their homes and age with dignity.

Fully Funded Public Schools

Every child deserves a fair shot. We'll ensure our public schools are fully funded and our teachers are respected and supported.

Robust Support for Veterans

As a veteran, I know the meaning of service and sacrifice. We will work to expand access to health care benefits, strengthen job training and career opportunities, and make sure every veteran receives the recognition and support they’ve earned defending our great nation.

Dignity and Respect in Government

Lansing needs honest leadership. I will bring integrity and respect to state government, putting people above politics every single day.

Protecting the Places We Live

We must be good stewards of the land and environment to keep our world safe for the future of our children. This commitment protects our farms and preserves our hunting and fishing traditions for future generations.

Securing Retirement Dignity

I will work to protect Social Security and Medicare while focusing on a return to defined benefit-style retirement plans, ensuring our seniors can retire with the confidence and security they deserve.

38 Years of Trusted Service

Colonel John Hall (Ret.) has served in the U.S. Army for nearly four decades. From leading strategic operations to partnering with global allies, he brings a lifetime of integrity and discipline to the fight for Michigan's families.
